The Ikat Vest is made from a limited-edition cotton and silk Ikat hand loomed in Uzbekistan.  it has a small metal hook closure in the front.  Uzbek Ikat uses a technique, abrandi, "bounded cloud". It is a process of resist dyeing, bounding the warp yarns, which later dyed by hand, before being woven with the weft yards. Wearing Ikat fabric was once equivalent to wearing gold medals, its artistry was recognized with prestige.
